Police Release Details on Hit-and-run Incident in Broward County

On Saturday night, a man on a scooter was hit by a blue car. This was caught on tape. The Broward police are now asking for help from the public.

The victim gave the Miami Herald a video of himself riding a scooter behind a white SUV on the 700 block of East Sunrise Blvd. Then, what looks like a blue Toyota Prius hit him and knocked him off the scooter.

After seeing the victim on the ground, the blue car, for which police don’t have a license plate number, sped off in the west direction. Several people got out of their cars and ran to help the person who was hurt.

The person was taken to Broward Health Medical Center by the Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue team. Sunday, he told the Miami Herald that he is slowly getting better but is still in a lot of pain.

Call the Fort Lauderdale police at 954-828-5700 or Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS if you have any information.
