Road-Rage Escapade: Two Men and Teen Arrested After Multi-State Police Chase

After reportedly firing at a car in Utah on Wednesday afternoon and trying to escape from police by crossing several state lines, three individuals are currently being held by the police.

The St. George Police Department reports that while watching two cars go along Bluff Street, one of the officers heard “multiple popping sounds.”

The victim’s car was observed by the police to have driven off the shoulder of the road. The officer stopped the vehicle and spoke with the driver. The driver reported to the police that he had been shot with a firearm by someone in the other automobile.

According to St. George police, the officer made an effort to find and stop the suspect’s vehicle but did not report any injuries.

According to police reports, the defendant tried to elude the officer by attempting to escape in his car on southbound Interstate 15. As they crossed into Arizona and Nevada, a number of additional officers joined the chase.

According to St. George police, the suspect’s vehicle was stopped when the Mesquite Police Department in Nevada placed spikes on its tires. Two males and a 17-year-old boy were taken into custody by Mesquite Police.

The adolescent was sent to juvenile court and released to his parents, according to police, while the two men are being held for extradition to Utah.
