Shocking Shooting Incident Leaves One Dead and Another Injured in Tampa!

TAMPA, Fla. — A man died and a woman was hurt after a shooting at a Tampa apartment complex.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office said a 911 caller reported shots fired at the Palms at Sand Lake apartments around 7:25 p.m.

Deputies said three people were gathered at an apartment when some type of altercation occurred. Tempers flared and one person pulled out a gun and shot a man in his mid-20s.

Deputies said one of the bullets traveled through a wall and struck a woman in her mid-70s in the foot. She was taken to AdventHealth with non-life-threatening injuries.

The man in his mid-20s was taken to Tampa General Hospital, where he later died. Deputies said they have identified a person of interest but no arrests have been made.
