Shocking! Teen Arrested for Second-Degree Murder in Miami-Dade!

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. –  Authorities confirmed Tuesday that a 17-year-old boy was arrested after another teen was shot and killed at an apartment complex in northwest Miami-Dade.

Archie Cox Jr., of Miami, was arrested on April 3 and charged with second-degree murder, according to his police record.

Just before 11 p.m. on March 21, a shooting was reported at the North Park at Scott Carver apartments near Northwest 74th Street and 23rd Court.

When Miami-Dade cops arrived, they found a 16-year-old boy who had been shot in the back of the head.

At the scene, Miami-Dade Fire Rescue said he was dead.

According to the police report, the victim and the suspect had a verbal fight that night that led to a physical fight.

After the fight was over, the victim walked away. That’s when police say Cox pulled out a gun and shot the victim in the head.

The report says that Cox left the scene of the crime, but he later went to the Miami-Dade Police Department’s Homicide Bureau and gave a videotaped statement.

The comment was taken out of the report that was made public.

Cox was taken into custody and taken to the Juvenile Assessment Center in the end.
