A male juvenile aged 17 years old has been taken into custody in connection with a gunshot that occurred on Saturday behind a Florida State University dormitory and resulted in the injury of one individual.
Investigators with the Florida State Police Department discovered that the victim was involved in a disagreement with the male suspect, who is not associated with the institution.
Assaults on the victim’s person were initiated by the suspect as well as other persons.
According to the FSU Police Department, the suspect produced a firearm and started firing at the victim before departing the area in an unknown vehicle. One of the shots hit the victim.
According to the FSU Police Department, investigations led to the development of probable cause, and warrants were subsequently issued for two charges of attempted second-degree murder.
At this time, the juvenile offender is being kept in the custody of the Leon County Juvenile Detention Facility.
