When the annual Riverfest returns to the downtown area of Tampa, it is always a sure sign that summer is just around the corner. This is because Riverfest is held in the downtown area of Tampa.
This celebration, which takes place every year on the first weekend in May, will begin on Friday and continue through Saturday.
It will feature a large number of different food vendors, beer tents, live music, and activities that are appropriate for families, such as a wiener dog derby, water ski exhibitions, and hot air balloon demonstrations.
The Riverfest light procession is one of the most well-known activities that take place over the course of the festival. Participants are invited to showcase their own hand-made paper lanterns amidst a range of other colorful and innovative works of art.
Activities associated with Riverfest may be found all throughout the weekend at both Curtis Hixon Park and Water Works Park. Although there is no charge to enter the festival in its entirety, attendees may be required to register in order to participate in specific events.
Riverfest is an event that occurs once a year in the spring and aims to promote Tampa’s cultural institutions, local musicians, and eateries by delivering a free weekend of activities that are appropriate for families.
