South Florida Car Theft Epidemic What You Need to Know to Stay Safe

On a sunny Sunday in South Florida, two different cars were stolen. The cops are looking into the crimes. In the first case, a woman was robbed of her car in the area of Southwest 9th Avenue and 3rd Street in Miami-Dade County.

The car was later found near 71st Street and Northwest 14th Avenue. Even though police found three possible culprits, they say the case is still going on.

In the second case, a suspect who stole a car from a Wawa gas station in Pompano Beach was quickly caught in Broward County.

Just before 9 a.m., Broward Sheriff’s officers heard that the car had been stolen, and they were able to find it near the gas station on West Atlantic Boulevard.

But the car broke down, stopped, and started to burn near Commercial Boulevard and I-95, giving the suspect a chance to get away.
