SUV Crash Kills One Person and Injures Another in Jacksonville!

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — According to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, a collision that took place on the Westside of Jacksonville on Saturday resulted in the death of one individual and the injury of another.

Sgt. Peck said, at a press conference, that the accident, which involved a single car, took place at around 1:10 p.m. on Lane Ave. S. at San Juan Avenue.

Peck claims that a tiny SUV was driving northbound on Lane Avenue when, for reasons that are yet unclear, the vehicle crossed into the path of oncoming traffic.

According to Peck, the SUV went off the road and into a field close to Redemption Church, where it collided with a light post before coming to a stop after colliding with a tree.

Both occupants were transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. According to Peck, the passenger, who was described as an adult male, was declared dead at the hospital.

The driver came out of the accident with just minor wounds. The investigation being conducted by Traffic Homicide is aimed at determining what caused the collision.

The 62nd person to lose their life on the roads in Duval County this year was killed in this collision.

There will be no disruption to traffic in the vicinity.
