Two 18-year-old individuals tragically lost their lives in a double homicide that occurred in Northwest Tallahassee.
The Violent Crimes Unit of the TPD is currently conducting an investigation into this incident, which happened at 9:20 p.m. on August 22. As of 8 a.m. on Wednesday, the TPD has dealt with a total of 15 homicides in the city.
In an updated news release from the TPD:
Officers were sent out to the 1100 block of Dade Street after receiving reports of a shooting in the area. Upon arrival, they located two adult males who had been shot and were bleeding from their wounds.Both of the victims had just turned 18 years old.
Sadly, one of the victims was pronounced dead at the scene of the crime, while the other victim ultimately passed away as a result of their injuries in the hospital.
The investigation has been handed up to the TPD’s Violent Crimes Unit to handle at this point. TPD investigators can be reached at 850-891-4200 by anyone who may have witnessed the event or who has home security footage that may be helpful in solving the case.
The authorities are requesting anyone who may have been in the area and who may have seen what happened to get in touch with them.
This inquiry is still active at this time, and there is no new information that can be disclosed at this time.
