A 17-year-old and an 18-year-old were taken into custody in connection with the assault of an inebriated teenage girl who lost consciousness at a local gathering.

As per the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, a group assembled on Saturday for a party in Plant City that included underage drinking.

When one individual consumed to the point of passing out, deputies stated that the 17-year-old allegedly assaulted her.

Ethan Eures, 18, recorded the assault and distributed the video on social media, according to deputies. The victim viewed the footage on Sunday and reported the incident.

The 17-year-old was charged with committing sexual assault as a minor upon a victim aged 12 or older.

Eures faced charges of improper use of two two-way communication devices and two counts of promoting sexual performance by a minor.

“I am disgusted at the actions of these individuals who exploited someone in such a vulnerable state,” Sheriff Chad Chronister stated in a statement. “I extend my deepest sympathies to this young woman and admire her bravery in coming forward to our deputies.”

Chronister stated that this kind of purported behavior will not be accepted in Hillsborough County.

“We will ensure that this victim receives the justice she deserves,” he added.
