The Clash of Convictions: Abortion Rights at the Ballot Box

The Clash of Convictions Abortion Rights at the Ballot Box

In order to finance the “Yes” campaign and one to encourage voters to cast ballots, the political action committee that raised $17 million for the petition drive that placed abortion rights on the Florida ballot is now changing its focus.

Prominent contributors such as Planned Parenthood, the American Civil Liberties Union, and Florida Rising are present; nonetheless, other sites containing one-off small-dollar donations demonstrate the support from the general public.

Ashley Walker of the Florida Woman’s Freedom Coalition stated, “We are expecting them to come with us with whatever they can.”

It appears that the statewide campaign to vote no is being led by Florida Voice for the Unborn.

In order to generate as much money as possible for that endeavor, it is ready to submit documents for a political action committee that opposes it.

According to Andrew Shirvell of the Florida Voice for the Unborn, “I anticipate a wide variety of pro-life organizations, from national groups to church-based groups to oppose this.”

An effective, coordinated opposition campaign requires millions to run. Our main strategy will be to emulate the actions taken by pro-life organizations in other states in response to similar abortion-related issues.
