Tragedy Strikes in Florida Man Accused of Beating Girlfriend to Death While Giving CPR

A man from Florida faces charges related to the fatal beating of his girlfriend after police discovered him administering CPR to her at a street intersection.

On Friday, September 1st, at around 3:20 a.m., Orlando Police officers responded to an incident at the intersection of W. Church St. and Parramore, where they found a man performing CPR on an unconscious woman.

Subsequent investigation revealed that the man providing CPR had assaulted the victim, who happened to be his girlfriend, causing her to lose consciousness.

The suspect, identified as Charles C. Jenkins Jr., 41, was apprehended at the scene and charged with battery, domestic violence, and resisting arrest without violence.

The woman was transported to ORMC but was pronounced dead upon arrival. Her death has been classified as a homicide, and authorities are in the process of obtaining an arrest warrant for first-degree homicide.

Orlando PD stated that, “We are still encouraging anyone who has information related to this incident to contact the Orlando Police Homicide Unit or pass on their information anonymously through Central Florida Crimeline.”
