A transgender “baby-faced” murderer found guilty of fatally stabbing an antiques dealer in New York City was sentenced to 22 years to life in prison on Thursday.

This conviction came months after the same person was imprisoned for another horrific attack in Oklahoma where the victim’s head was severed.

In January 2020, Alex Ray Scott, then 28 years old, was convicted of using a kitchen knife and ornamental plate to kill Kenneth Savinski, 64, in his Upper East Side apartment. Scott started to transform into a woman while incarcerated.

“Alex Ray Scott will serve a significant prison term for the brutal and senseless murder of Kenneth Savinski – a beloved, friendly person and respected churchgoer,” Manhattan District Attorney Bragg stated. “Mr. Savinski’s loss not only devastated his friends and family but shocked his tightknit community. Although we cannot bring Mr. Savinski back, I hope the resolution of this case offers his loved ones a sense of justice in their ongoing grief.”

In connection with Savinski’s death, Scott, who was previously given a 45-year jail term in Oklahoma for dismembering and killing a man with a chainsaw, entered a guilty plea to two charges of second-degree murder and numerous counts of unlawful possession.

Scott and Savinski went to Savinski’s apartment on January 27, 2020, after spending the evening together after meeting on a dating app.

Savinski had severe, deep cuts all over his face and forehead, a slash in his throat, and a shattered hyoid bone when he was discovered with injuries to his head and neck. Prosecutors alleged that he was discovered drenched in blood and was pronounced dead at the spot.

According to an indictment, Scott grabbed credit cards from Savinski after the killing and claimed he didn’t recall the attack, as the Post reported.

Later on, Scott entered a New York police precinct and confessed to killing someone in a case unconnected to this one. When he could not be located, investigators checked Robin Skocdopole’s Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, residence after discovering him in possession of credit cards.

Authorities discovered pools of blood inside his house, along with everything that was missing. According to federal prosecutors, Skocdopole’s bones were eventually discovered in May 2020 near a Broken Arrow creek’s side.

August 2019 was when he was last seen. Since Scott was renting a room from Skocdopole, he attempted to explain the landlord’s disappearance by telling everyone that he had suddenly moved to Dallas for work.

Two distinct saws were used to dismember Skocdopole, according to a medical examiner’s findings. The Justice Department stated that although Scott had consented to accompany the FBI to the site of Skocdopole’s head after his arrest, no other remains had been discovered.
