Early Sunday morning in west Tallahassee, two individuals were hurt in a shooting incident.
The Leon County Sheriff’s Office received a report of gunfire at approximately 5:20 a.m. in the 200 block of Dixie Drive near west Pensacola Street in Tallahassee. Deputies discovered two individuals with gunshot injuries.
“Both victims were transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries,” the agency said in an email to the media.
No additional information was given about the victims or the details of the shooting. The Violent Crimes Unit of LCSO continues to investigate.
“The Leon County Sheriff’s Office is seeking assistance from the public and encourages anyone with knowledge of this incident to come forward,” a spokesperson stated.
