Wild Alligator Takes Over Busy Road in West Palm Beach!

Scaly people who live in South Florida seem to like the heavy rains that have been falling in many parts of Palm Beach County over the past few days.

Monday night, police in West Palm Beach, Florida, shared a picture of an alligator that looked to be about 6 feet long and was relaxing in the southbound lanes of Australian Avenue in the 4300 blocks.

This area is near a river and Lake Mangonia, both of which are great places for the lizard to live.

Police said that a “wayward jaywalker” shut down the southbound lanes of Australian Avenue.

A hunter from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission was sent to the area to catch the snake.

All of the lanes on the road are now open again.
