This week, an Orange County court appearance is scheduled for a Texas woman who is accused of stealing a limited-edition Pandora Disney charm bracelet valued at more than $1,800 from a Walt Disney World store display.
Following the incident at a jewelry store in Magic Kingdom, 45-year-old Houstonian Intesar Khudair Lafta was charged with grand theft, a third-degree felony, and placed under custody on December 18, 2023, according to an arrest affidavit from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.
Soon after 4 p.m., when deputies arrived at the nameless jewelry store within the theme park, store management informed them that one of the Pandora salesmen had discovered a bracelet from a temporary exhibit was missing.
The bracelet, which is valued approximately $1,900 after taxes, is a limited edition Disney 100 piece from Pandora.
One of the attendees allegedly hid the bracelet while the Pandora representative moved aside to get a ring size while she was assisting a family at the register.
According to the affidavit, the guest paid more than $140 for two rings but not the bracelet. The statement further said that she had “no intention of returning the merchandise” as she exited the store, passing all points of sale.
