Young Father Shot and Killed in Tampa Family Seeks Justice!

TAMPA, Fla. — A young father who was found shot and killed inside a car in Tampa, Florida on March 28, 2023. Brown’s family is devastated by the loss, and they are pleading with the community to come forward with any information that may help police find the person responsible for his death.

According to Tampa Police, they received a report of a shooting shortly before 6 p.m. on East Idell Street. When they arrived, they found a man dead in the front seat of a black Nissan sedan with gunshot wounds to his upper body. Brown’s family has identified him as the victim.

Brown’s aunt, Anequa Hill, expressed shock and disbelief that her nephew was killed at such a young age. She also mentioned that Brown would have turned 22 years old on April 14, but instead, his family will be burying him on that day.

Brown’s mother, Shanika Staten, described him as a loving father who was always striving to be the best for his daughter. She said that his loss has left a hole in their family and that everything feels different without him.

Tampa police are asking anyone with information about the shooting to come forward and assist in the investigation.
