Shocking New Details Emerge in Death of Woman on Drawbridge!

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — The person who was in charge of a drawbridge when a 79-year-old woman died after falling off of it has been caught again.

Records from the Florida Department of Corrections show that Artissua Paulk’s pee sample from April 4 contained THC. Not only did she fail her drug test, but she also didn’t pay the court fees and fines that came with her guilty plea.

Paulk was caught in March 2022 and charged with killing after he killed 79-year-old Carol Wright by raising a drawbridge on her as she tried to cross the Royal Park Bridge. CBS12 said before that Paulk raised the bridge so a boat could go under it. Wright fell 50 feet onto the concrete below the drawbridge, where she died.

West Palm Beach police got a warrant to look through Paulk’s phone and found that she wasn’t using it at the time of the crime. A drug test was also done, and the results showed that Paulk did not have any drugs in her body while she was running the bridge.

After pleading guilty to murder on January 10, she was put on probation for eight years.

On Tuesday, Paulk was taken to the Palm Beach County Jail.

Not just Wright has fallen from the Royal Park Bridge.

In April, around 8 p.m., a 57-year-old woman was walking her bike across the Royal Park Bridge when she fell off the bridge. The police think she fell between six and ten feet and landed on a step below the drawbridge. She made it.

In a recent story by CBS12, the West Palm Beach Police said that officers wanted to talk to the woman again to find out more about what happened.
