The Courtney Campbell Ramp, which leads to State Route 60, is the focus of an investigation being conducted by the Tampa Police Department in relation to a fatal crash involving a single vehicle that took place there.
Due to a crash involving a single vehicle that occurred on the Courtney Campbell Causeway at 3:14 in the am on Thursday, officers from the Tampa Police Department were dispatched to the scene.
After arriving at the scene, the law enforcement officials found a 2001 Ford Explorer that had flipped over.
They also discovered an adult male who had been ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced deceased at the scene of the accident.
The inquiry into what led up to the collision is still ongoing at this time. Because of this event, the Courtney Campbell Causeway was shut down for a short period of time, however it has been resolved and all lanes are now open.
