DUI Charges Filed Against Tampa Woman for Dangerous Wrong-Way Drive on I-75

A 29-year-old woman from Tampa, identified as Bianca Marielis Dixon Perales, was accused of driving under the influence (DUI) on Monday. She allegedly drove in the wrong direction on I-75 in Pasco County, as reported by the Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers stated that around 12:30 p.m., Perales was driving north in the southbound lanes near State Road 52. However, it remains unclear when and from where she initially started driving in the wrong direction.

The vehicle eventually turned around and headed south, according to troopers.

Perales and her passenger later exited their car. They were observed on camera by the Tampa Bay Regional Communication Center, pointing towards the woods, as reported by the FHP.

When the trooper pulled her up and questioned why she was traveling in the wrong direction, she “did not have a straight answer.”

Troopers reported a blown tire on the rear passenger side and damage to the front of the car.

According to the arrest report, when the trooper questioned if Perales had been drinking, she allegedly stated that she had a couple beers the night before. According to reports, she “performed poorly” on the field sobriety test.

The arrest record states that Perales’ blood-alcohol level was 0.145.

According to the police, she was arrested for driving under the influence and her car was towed.
