To assist locals in surviving the heat, Publix’s summer ice cream truck will be making its way into Tampa Bay this weekend.
The truck will make its Lakeland stop at Common Ground Park, which is situated at 1000 East Edgewood Drive, starting on Saturday. From 10 a.m. until 3 p.m., ice cream enthusiasts can get a scoop.
The truck will stop for its “second-dairy” on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Tampa’s Sparkman Wharf, which is situated at 615 Channelside Drive.
And where better to spend the Fourth of July than at Publix’s last location, St. Pete Pier, which is situated at 600 2nd Avenue Northeast? From 4 p.m. till 10 p.m., the truck will distribute scoops.
To help you stay cool, Publix is introducing its limited-edition summer tastes. Customers will be able to sample a delightful, summery flavor that ranges from rich and sweet to bright and refreshing.
Special Edition Tastes
- Lemon Berry Bliss: a base of lemon crème scented with flakes of lemonade and a swirl of blueberry flavor
- Marry Me Strawberry: Strawberry pecan bark pieces sweetened with white chocolate and strawberry ice cream with a strawberry sauce
- Chocolate Cookie Quarry: Chunks of flavored chocolate sandwich cookies and swirls of chocolate ice cream topped with chocolate cookie crumbles
- Cold Brew Cookies & Crème: Pieces of chocolate cookie filled with crème and a foundation flavored with cold brew coffee.

- Mint Chocolate Chip: Cool mint ice cream with chocolate chunks is called mint chocolate chip.

The ice cream truck will make further stops in Jacksonville, West Palm Beach, and Fort Lauderdale, among other Florida locations. They have traveled to Atlanta, Greenville, and Nashville around the country.
