The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office reports that two persons are in jail on narcotics trafficking charges. According to the sheriff’s office, deputies performed a traffic stop on Waters Avenue at 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
During the stop, deputies arrested 43-year-old Corey Cresta on counts of controlled substance possession, methamphetamine trafficking, and resisting arrest without violence.
Nicole Wilder, 34, was also arrested by the sheriff’s office on accusations of trafficking in methamphetamine and fentanyl, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance, and resisting arrest without violence.
Deputies, assisted by the K9 Unit, searched the vehicle and discovered more than 200 grams of methamphetamine, over 50 grams of fentanyl, and narcotics paraphernalia, according to the sheriff’s office.
More than $1,800 in cash was taken following the arrest.
“This arrest sends a clear message: drug trafficking will not be tolerated in Hillsborough County, and we will relentlessly pursue those who engage in illicit activities and bring them to justice,” Sheriff Chad Chronister stated. “I commend our deputies for their dedication in combating drug crimes and ensuring the well-being of our residents.”
