TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – On Monday afternoon, a man was shot in the leg outside an apartment complex in Tallahassee, as reported by the Tallahassee Police Department.
The incident occurred around 3:51 p.m. in the 1500 block of Lake Avenue on the southwest side of the city, according to the Tallahassee Online Police Statistics (TOPS) Map.
Upon receiving a 911 call about the gunfire, TPD officers rushed to the scene but could not locate any evidence of the shooting.
Witnesses informed the police that an altercation had taken place in the parking lot before the shooting happened. Subsequently, a civilian drove the injured man to the hospital, and fortunately, he is expected to survive.
At the scene, investigators recovered several shell casings, although it remains unclear if they are connected to this particular shooting.
The Watch Commander stated that there were no other signs of a shooting in the vicinity and noted that those involved in the incident have been uncooperative.
As of now, no arrests have been made, and the investigation is still ongoing.
