Shocking One-Year-Old Boy Attacked by Dogs While Mom Was Out Getting High!

TAMPA, Fla. — A one-year-old boy was attacked by at least one dog inside of a residence in New Port Richey, according to a news release issued by the New Port Richey Police Department. The boy was taken by helicopter to a local hospital for treatment.

The press statement did not specify when or where the event took place, but it did say that the kid’s mother, Destiny Coleman, had been detained on counts of child negligence leading to serious bodily injury. Tina Dean, who was also arrested for child negligence and for supplying false information to law authorities, was the second individual who was taken into custody.

The youngster was reportedly left unattended in the playpen by Coleman as she went out with a companion to get drugs and booze, as reported by the police.

According to the statement that was made in the press release, “When Coleman left, she left the child in the care of Tina Dean who was only notified, via voice.” When Coleman left the apartment, Dean was not in the same room with the kid and did not see the child at that time.

The boy was left with serious puncture wounds and lacerations to his face and left eye, according to the police, after being bitten in the face by one of the two dogs that were believed to be roaming freely within the residence.

The boy was transported by helicopter to All Children’s Hospital in order to get treatment for his wounds. The details of his present health were not made public.

The police report that Dean originally informed them that the youngster had been attacked by a stray dog outside the house, but that Dean eventually confirmed that the assault took place within the home.

There was a delay in the availability of more information on the occurrence.
