Southwest Tallahassee Shooting Leaves Two Victims

The Leon County Sheriff’s Office is currently looking into a shooting that occurred in the early morning. On October 15 at approximately 5:20 in the morning, the LCSO received a report that gunshots were fired in the 200 block of Dixie Drive.

Deputy sheriffs arrived to find two people who had been shot and were suffering from their wounds. Both victims were transferred to a nearby hospital where they were treated for injuries that did not pose an immediate threat to their lives.

As a direct result of the occurrence, the investigation into the crime has been taken up by the LCSO’s Violent Crimes Unit and Crime Scene Investigators.

This is an ongoing and actively pursued case. The Leon County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s cooperation and encourages anyone with information about the incident to step forward.
