West Palm Beach Police Investigate Shooting at Lake Mangonia Apartments

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — Two individuals have been transported to the hospital following a shooting incident in West Palm Beach.

The local police department, known as the West Palm Beach Police Department (WPBPD), reported that this incident occurred three days after a teenager fired multiple rounds from the same apartment complex.

At approximately 9:28 p.m. on Friday, the WPBPD received an alert from Shot Spotter indicating gunfire at the Lake Mangonia Apartments.

Upon arriving at the scene, officers discovered two victims who were subsequently taken to separate hospitals for medical treatment.

The injuries sustained by the victims are not life-threatening, as confirmed by the police. However, the identity of the shooter or shooter remains unknown at this point.

On July 4, a 16-year-old boy was arrested at the aforementioned apartment complex.

The arrest followed an incident in which the teenager allegedly discharged several rounds into the air using a high-powered weapon, as an act of celebratory gunfire.

Law enforcement officers collected a minimum of 50 shell casings from the location that day.
