West Palm Beach Residents on Edge as $3,000 Reward Offered in Murder Investigation

Crime Stoppers said Wednesday that there is a $3,000 prize for information about the death of an 18-year-old man in a West Palm Beach park in February.

Yamil Medina Villegas, who was 18 and from Boynton Beach, was found dead in his car in Howard Park on February 20. Police said it was a case of a shooting that was meant for him.

Police reported that Villegas met with two males in the park, but they didn’t say why.

When the shots were fired, witnesses saw the two attackers run away from the area and continue north.

Cindy Lopez, who is in charge of the Crime Stoppers program, said that the prize is for any clue that could lead to an arrest in the case.

You can phone 1-800-458-8477, text **TIPS, or go to the Crime Stoppers website to give information.
