RIVIERA BEACH, Fla. —After trying to save two young girls from drowning, one person had to be taken to the hospital.
The Riviera Beach Fire Rescue Department said that a lifeguard at Ocean Reef Park in Riviera Beach said that two girls seemed to be drowning on Thursday.
When a friend of the family saw the girls fighting, she ran into the water to help them.
The two girls and the family friend were saved by lifeguards from Palm Beach County.
In the end, it was a family friend who had to go to the hospital. The young girls were fine.
Lifeguards from Palm Beach County said that eight people were saved.
