GREENACRES — The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office said that two teens were shot and killed in Greenacres late Wednesday night.
Investigators say that at about 11 p.m., they found the bodies of a 17-year-old and an 18-year-old in a parking lot at the Island Shores Apartment Homes, which is off Jog Road and near 10th Avenue North. The service said that it looked like both had been shot.
The names of the men were not made public by the PBSO. Under a 2018 change to the state law, their families used their right to privacy. It lets either the people who were hurt or their families keep their names off of public records.
As of Thursday morning, investigators did not know why the killing happened and had not found anyone of interest.
Anyone with knowledge about the shooting is asked to call Crime Stoppers of Palm Beach County at 1-800-458-TIPS (4788) or send an anonymous tip through PBSO’s smartphone app, which works on both Apple and Android phones.
