PALM BEACH, Fla. — The U.S. Border Patrol says that a Florida beachgoer found a package with illegal items in it over the weekend.
Chief Patrol Agent Walter Slosar said that a good Samaritan found a “bale of marijuana” that washed up on the beach in Palm Beach.
Border Patrol says that the package of pot weighed about 30 pounds. It was taken right away by federal agents.
This isn’t the first time this year that a regular person in Florida found a huge bundle of drugs by accident.
The Marion County Sheriff’s Office says that in January, two ordinary people found 145 pounds of cocaine in the Lower Keys.
