Breaking News Ambulance Accident Claims Life of Skateboarder in Fort Pierce!

FORT PIERCE, Fla. — On Sunday, an ambulance hit a skateboarder and killed him. The Fort Pierce Police Department found out who he was.

The person who was hit by an ambulance was named 23-year-old Dillon Eugene Holcomb.

Around 8:10 p.m. on April 16, police in Fort Pierce were called to a scene where a person had been hit by an ambulance.

Witnesses say that Holcomb was on his skateboard when he tried to cross South U.S. Highway 1 and was hit by an ambulance going north on the highway.

St. Lucie County Fire Rescue took Holcomb to HCA Lawnwood Hospital, where he was declared dead at 10:24 p.m., police say.
