Shocking Incident Pedestrian Killed and Another Injured While Avoiding Sprinklers!

West Palm Beach police said that a 60-year-old woman died and a 65-year-old man was hurt Monday when they were hit by a car after stepping into the street to avoid being sprayed by sprinklers.

The thing happened around 6 a.m. in the 2700 block of Village Boulevard.

Mike Jachles, a spokesman for the West Palm Beach police, said that a 67-year-old guy was driving a 2021 Kia Sportage south.

Carmen Louis, 60, and Michael Bullen, 65, were walking down the street when they stepped off the sidewalk and into the path of the Kia.

Police said Louis died at the scene, and Bullen was taken to the emergency center at St. Mary’s Medical Center because he was hurt badly.

The westbound lanes of Village Boulevard were closed all morning while the West Palm Beach Police Department looked into the crash.

Jachles said that no charges are being filed, and it doesn’t look like drinking or drugs played a role in the crash.
