Florida Man Arrested for Breaking Into Restaurants and Stealing Alcohol

FORT PIERCE, Fla. — Someone said that a man stole booze from a liquor store more than once.

According to the Fort Pierce Police Department, police went to 200 N. Indian Drive to investigate a report of a break-in at Cobbs Landing.

When the police got to the diner Thursday morning, they found that two bottles of liquor had been taken.

Police said that the break-in was like the ones that had happened at the On The Edge Bar and Grill at 1136 Seaway Drive and the 2nd Street Bistro at 122 North 2nd St.

In each break-in, two bottles of alcohol were taken from restaurants after they closed.

Fort Pierce Police said that information they got led them to Timothy B. Hasbrouck, who is 41 years old.

Police said that Hasbrouck was later found trying to hide in a guest home on North 18th St.

Fort Pierce Police said Hasbrouck told them that he had been out of work as a diner cook for two months. He also admitted that he had broken into several places and cars to get money.

Hasbrouck was arrested for breaking into a building, according to the police. He is being held at the St. Lucie County Jail on a $70,000 bond.
