Florida Man's 7-eleven Lottery Ticket Leads to $2 Million Win

TAMPA, Florida — A guy in Florida who was 62 years old “took it to eleven” when he bought a winning lottery ticket from a 7-Eleven that was worth many millions of dollars.

In the Jackpot Triple Play drawing on November 22, 2022, Stanley Johnson, age 62, from Altamonte Springs, Florida, successfully claimed his winning reward of $2 million.

Johnson made the decision to collect the total amount of his jackpot award as a single, one-time payment of $1,264,584. It was one in 3,122,273.33 chance that he would walk away with the big payout.

In Altamonte Springs, he went to the 7-Eleven located at 901 West Highway 436 to purchase the Quick Pick ticket that would later earn him the prize. Because they sold the winning lottery ticket, the shop will get an additional commission of $1,000 for their efforts.

Jackpots for the Jackpot Triple Play game begin at $250,000 and can roll over to reach $2 million before rolling down to boost the lower-prize levels in each drawing until the jackpot is won. If the pot is not won, the jackpot will continue to roll over until it is won.

The next drawing for the Jackpot Triple Play will occur next Friday at 11:15 p.m. Eastern Time, and the prize pool will be worth $2 million. The total odds of winning are one in 15.24 for each individual ticket.
