St. Pete Resident Taken Into Custody After Drug House Search, Affidavits Reveal

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – A woman from St. Petersburg was taken into custody the Wednesday before last, as indicated by the documents filed with the court, on the suspicion that she was running a drug house.

Avery McKenna, who was 36 years old and resided on 20th Avenue, had her home searched by officers, as stated in the arrest affidavits that were given by the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office.

It was alleged that the deputies found a variety of illegal narcotics everywhere around the house, including in common areas such as the kitchen, the living room, and the bathroom.

“McKenna informed detectives that she is the sole person on the lease and stated that ‘every room in the home belongs to her,'” the documents allege. “McKenna also informed detectives that she is the sole person on the lease.” McKenna further revealed that at this moment, she is the only person residing in the house.

The investigation led to the discovery of 77.8 grams of ketamine, 164.9 grams of cannabis, 115 grams of LSD, 2.4 grams of powder cocaine, 189.1 grams of MDMA, and one DMT cartridge, as stated by the sheriff’s office. In addition to that, one DMT cartridge was found during the search.

In addition, according to the sheriff’s office, they found a handgun that had a serial number that had been illegibly obscured since it had been scratched out.

McKenna was arrested on many charges, including those of operating a drug house, having illicit substances, and engaging in drug trafficking. These charges were among the reasons she was brought into jail.
