Police are currently in pursuit of a suspect linked to two separate occurrences. The intersection of Fred George Road and Old Bainbridge Road has been temporarily closed.

Tallahassee law enforcement is actively seeking a suspect within the vicinity of the intersection at Fred George Road and Old Bainbridge Road. TPD has confirmed its involvement in addressing two distinct incidents within this area.
Approximately at 4:15 PM, officers swiftly responded to reports of an assault involving an axe. An individual sustained significant injuries and was subsequently transported to a medical facility.
Shortly after, around 5:30 PM, law enforcement received a distress call about a shooting that occurred within a wooded area adjacent to Fred George Road. Another individual sustained critical injuries and was rushed to a medical facility.
TPD currently maintains the perspective that these two incidents are interrelated. As a result, they are advising caution to individuals moving about the regions encompassing North Monroe Street corridor, Mission Road, Fred George Road, and Old Bainbridge Road.
Currently, the eastbound section of Fred George Road is inaccessible at the junction with Old Bainbridge Road.
