Tampa Police Hunt Suspect in Cypress Preserve Drive Gas Station Robbery

TAMPA, Fla. — The Tampa Police Department is currently seeking a suspect who committed an armed robbery against an individual at a Racetrac gas station in Tampa on Friday.

The surveillance footage captures the suspect’s entry into the gas station situated at 5220 Cypress Preserve Drive.

The perpetrator seems to be a young man, aged between his late teens and early twenties. He was dressed in a blue Super Mario hoodie, distressed black jeans, white socks, and black slides.

Upon entering the gas station, the suspect proceeded to the men’s restroom where he held up an elderly man in his mid-70s at gunpoint.

Fortunately, the elderly man did not sustain any injuries during the incident.

The video shows the suspect exiting the gas station and getting into the driver’s seat of a gray Honda Civic, potentially a 2003 model, lacking a license plate. The vehicle was last observed traveling northbound on Bruce B. Downs in the direction of I-75.
