Tampa authorities are currently investigating a robbery that occurred at a Chase bank on North Dale Mabry Highway last Saturday afternoon.
The suspected robber is believed to be a man in his 50s. He fled the scene in a light-colored or silver compact sedan after obtaining an undisclosed amount of money.
Witnesses described the suspect as approximately 5 feet tall. He handed a hastily written note to the bank teller, demanding cash before leaving.
Additional details about the suspect’s attire during the incident have emerged. He was wearing a light-colored long-sleeve shirt, a black hoodie, and blue jeans. Additionally, he had dark sunglasses, a tan hat, and a white N95-style mask.
Authorities from the Tampa Police Department confirmed that no weapons were used in the incident.
In response, the Tampa Police Department has released a video of the robbery and is seeking information from the public to help identify and apprehend the suspect.
It’s essential to note that bank robbery is a serious federal offense, and if the alleged perpetrator is found guilty, they could face severe penalties.
