Tallahassee Mourns 3 Homicides in 24 Hours, Urges Action Against Gun Violence

The Capital City is in a state of mourning following the occurrence of three homicides within a span of 24 hours. City leaders are urging community members to unite and take action against gun violence.

All of the shootings occurred in the Northwest Tallahassee area and were in close proximity to Tallahassee’s affiliate of the National Urban League.

These tragic incidents have sparked discussions about putting an end to senseless gun violence. Despite the distressing frequency of such events, Curtis Taylor, the President of the Tallahassee Chapter of the Urban League, remains hopeful and fully committed to pushing the community toward progress.

Taylor stated, “The Urban League will persist in our efforts, working tirelessly to address the issues at hand and striving to create safer neighborhoods for all of us.”

The Tallahassee Police Department is actively investigating all three homicides, seeking justice for the victims and their families.
