WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — On Wednesday afternoon, the West Palm Beach Police Department announced their investigation into a shooting incident that occurred at the apartment complex known as The Vue at 1400, situated at 1400 Village Blvd.
Around 3:17 p.m., the West Palm Beach Police received multiple calls alerting them to shots being fired. Upon arriving at the scene, they discovered a 26-year-old male and a 25-year-old female, both of whom had sustained gunshot wounds.
The West Palm Beach Fire Rescue conveyed the woman to St. Mary’s Hospital in critical condition, whereas the man was declared deceased on-site due to a gunshot wound.
According to a spokesperson from the West Palm Beach Police Department, the victims were unexpectedly attacked by the perpetrator or perpetrators.
During their investigation, detectives retrieved 20 shell casings from various caliber firearms. The inquiry is currently in progress.
